The most effective way to clean up oils!
Coco-Bio®, jointly developed by UES and the Sri Lanka Industrial Technology Institute, has exceptional oil absorbent properties, making it an extremely effective cistern purifier and cleanser of waste-water impurities. Septic tanks collect household wastewater, including from the kitchen, meaning that oil and grease collects inside the cistern pipes and tanks. This causes foul odors, reduced purification efficiency, and other problems, and also interferes with maintenance ? problems that Coco-Bio®’s exceptional oil absorbent properties can deal with effectively.

Coco-Bio® properties
- Exceptional absorbent properties. (about 20 times pre-absorbent weight)
- Absorbs mostly oils and very little water. (90% Oils, 10% water)
- Made of natural materials. Efficiently uses coconut. (As a raw material, coconut husk is typically burned, discarded, or used to enrich soil, but it is in fact a rich natural resource.)
- Sponge-like shape provides excellent buoyancy.
- Can be mass produced at low cost, giving it a promising future as a cistern waste water oil absorbent product.
- Easy to work with, so it can be processed in the most easy-to-use shapes.
